Tomorrow is graduation day!!! I will be receiving my AA degree in the morning, a stepping stone in my educational goals. In the fall I'll be starting the next leg of my journey at LCSC where I will be double majoring in Creative Writing and Communications of Arts. It is almost surreal for someone like me who never graduated High School, actually I flunked out. I did get my GED but there was no ceremony.
I can't believe that 4 years ago today I was setting in prison. If someone would have told me then that I would be here today I'm not sure that I would have believed it.
This will be a bitter sweet day since my father will not be there, he passed away last June. His encouragement never ceased he believed in me even when I didn't believe in myself. I dedicate tomorrow to him...I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!
