Today's the day my daddy died
Oh the tears I have cried
As he went I held his hand
And felt him pass from this land
His energy and spirit I felt pass through me
And from that point on I knew it must be
Heaven awaits us all
no matter how often we may fall
God forgives his children that he loves so much
I know its true, I feel his touch
I know the angels took my daddy today
And in heaven is where he must stay
But never will I be alone
For I know my daddy's found his way home
Sitting next to God in heaven, looking down on me
He sees all I do and knows what will be!!!
