Brad and Peggy's great clock caper

So the one year anniversary is the clock anniversary and I have been wanting to buy Brad a wall clock for months so this was a great opportunity, with our anniversary one week away.
So off we went with the idea we would find the perfect over-sized wall clock.
The first store we visited was this great little eclectic store in North Lewiston. Here we found a clock that we liked but we weren't sure that it was the one. Brad took it down from where it hung in the store and we inspected it, not being sure that it was the one he returned it to its place on the wall.
Now Brad and I both by nature are worriers, we just worry about different stuff. For instance he was worried that he didn't get the clock back on the wall good enough. I on the other hand reassured him that it was fine. Just after the third time he asked if the clock was ok and I again assured him that it was, it came down! Yes it fell right on a large ceramic vase, breaking it in 76 pieces, and denting the clock.
We offered to pay for the broken vase and they wouldn't let us...we both felt terrible so we purchased a frame for his mom.
After this we went to 61 other stores in the valley, in search of the perfect over-sized wall clock...we obviously didn't take anymore down from walls.
We did find a clock, not sure it is the perfect one but it was the best one we saw in my price range and if we don't find something better tomorrow we'll go get it!
