Every 4 years

It seems to me every four years as the campaign for the presidency nears the more crazy people become. Not just Republicans, Not just Democrats, Not just Independents, but ALL people. Yes there are plenty of crazies who identify themselves with a party or no party at all! They write letters to the editors of newspapers across the country, they do things like pretending to be attacked by someone who supports the other party, or hang a likeness to a candidate in a tree, or make false claims about the opposing party and its candidate.

The funny thing is that these are the same people who complain about negative attack ads on TV, in newspapers and magazines, on the Internet, and bill boards. Every where we look we are inundated with mean, untruthful, spiteful, disrespectful, negative energy and we the people are as guilty as they the politicians are!!!

Yes I say we because I am as guilty as the next. When watching any of the many roundtable type programs about politics these days I become infuriated at the opposition. I yell things at the TV, my blood pressure rises by at least 10 points if not 20. Today for instance while watching such a show I called one of the commentators the "C" word...first of all I don't curse often and second of all I really, really don't like that particular word and don't use it or like it being used! I was so asshamed of myself that I had to leave the room and occupy my time doing something else. I worry that my head just may explode on Nov. 4, that is if it doesn'tt before then. This is such an important and historical election that the anticipation is killing me.

Perhaps it is so bad because it is the longest election season we as a country have ever had to endure and it has made the people crazier than the usual election season? Well either way we are down to the last 9 days and I am sure I speak for most people when I say Thank Goodness!!!
