2010's blessings keep coming

I knew that when my year began by connecting with my daughter Elizabeth that it was indeed going to be a year full of blessings! And another blessing just fell in to my lap this past weekend.
My daughter Ursula informed me that she is making me a grandma! I have mulled this over for the past few days and while I am younger than I had hoped when I would hear the grandma word, I believe this to be a welcome blessing. Ursula has struggled in life since late 2008 and I believe with this baby she will again have something positive to focus on, which I pray, hope and believe will be the change needed in her life!!
After all she is my daughter and as they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
She has a lot more going for her than I did when I was pregnant with her. 1. She has graduated from high school, which I had not. 2. She has me, I had no one. 3. Even if the father punks out on her and that may not be a bad thing, I believe his family will help her with the baby anyway; her dad and his family all disappeared, blaming me for it of course. 3. She has lived responsibly on her own, I had no idea what being responsible for myself meant let alone for another person.
So while many may think this a sad tale it is God's way of guiding Ursula back to a life she knows is right!! And it is a blessing!!
