PISSED OFF

Ok so this in the realm of things is not disastrous or unbearable but I am still pissed!!!! My Myspace account was deleted...why you ask? Well I have not been given an official reason but I have an idea that it has something to do with my being a registered sex offender.
Now I like everyone else believe we need to protect our children and Myspace has proven to be a dangerous place for children! With that being said I would also like to point out that #1 I was on Myspace legitimately, using my real name, real age, real everything! #2 I had my profile set up with safe guards,it was private, you had to be my friend to message me, you had to be 18 to contact me at all, you had to know my name or email address to add me as a friend! and #3 I am not the sex offender you need to FEAR!!!!! I am upfront and honest about my past, I have changed my life and am a free citizen of the United States of America. I pay taxes, I vote, I go to school, I work!!! I am not the problem!!!
This WITCH HUNT HAS TO STOP!!!!! The ones we need to fear are not registered as sex offenders, if they were they wouldn't be able to hide. They are not on Myspace as men or women, their ages are listed at 16 or 99, they hide!!! The Fucking Pervs our society fears are the ones in the shadows. Would you rather me be honest and be on Myspace as myself or would you force me to lie about who I am? It is unfair, unreasonable and unsafe!!!! You have saved NO ONE BY DELETING MY PROFILE!!!! And little Susie is still at risk because on her friends list is some sick-o going by the name of Joey age 15, whose really John age 40 and he is bating her as you read this to meet him at some mall, where she will go and possibly never come back from!!!
So good job, the world is a safer place Pegs was kicked off of Myspace, parents every where can rest in peace tonight!!!

Sounds like you've probably hit the nail on the head as to the reason for your Myspace acct. being removed.

To the readers of this comment;

Having met Pegs personally, I can attest that she in no way attempted to hide from me, or in any other way attempt to deceive me about the matter of which she speaks here.

She was honest and up front in telling me all about it before I could of even had a clue.

Having taken the time to find out the specifics of the incident which required her to become registerded in the first place, I would have no problem or concerns whatsoever in Pegs being around any of my family members with or without my presence!

This is the society we live in. It is much easier, and safer to make blanket statements about groups of people and treat them all the same. The real predators that MySpace has to worry about, lurk in the shadows behind false identities and lies, and when these criminals strike again and take the innocence of another child, MySpace will be able to thump their chests and say, "But look! We deleted the pages of all these registered sex offenders. We're doing everything we can." To them, it's not about keeping our children safe from disgusting predators, it's about keeping their bank accounts safe from the victims.
