Time ticks away

As the days pass by and we draw nearer to the end of the year I find myself thinking back over this year, where did it go by the way?
Wow what a man we've had as a nation, some of the worst financial turns in over 20 years, the gas prices rising out of control, the house market drying up, unemployment on the rise all across the country, stock market crash, election of a new president who happens to be a black man. I can't remember in any history class about any other one year time frame when so much has happened. Of course I am quite certain that after Brad reads this, being the history buff that he is, he will point out at least one other and probably more where so many historical things have happened. It will most likely be sometime in the 1960s when so many influential figures were being assassinated. But like I said I don't recall one.
Anyway I digress, this has very much been a turbulent year and I would just like to say a little prayer on my blog for all my countrymen, fellow humans and the earth.
Dear Lord I come to you today and ask that in the year to come you might wrap the world in your loving arms and carry us through these troubled times, I pray that you will guide our new leader and his family to greatness as they lead our country back to greatness. I pray that you will touch all those in roles of world power and lead them to make decisions that will help the earth that you have left in our care and help them to protect and preserve their people. In Jesus name I pray - Amen
